The Things of Late

Well, I haven't blogged in a while because we've been crazy busy! Thanksgiving was a blast and I loved spending time with Alex's family, the Seegmillers.
The biggest news, though, is that we are buying a house! WOOT! We should close in less than two weeks - Merry Christmas to us!
As soon as I have pictures I will get them up. We plan on basically redoing most of the house, so you will be blessed with many before and after pictures. Hopefully sooner than later.
Also, we won a tv over the weekend! We are basically the luckiest people I know right now.
So, after all that time I now realize that I don't have much to report on so I will steal this fun survey from Alex's cousin's blog :)

Biggest...

splurge... 42" TV and laptop. And one time I bought 3 little things of lip gloss for $15. Ya, $15 for lip gloss... what was I thinking?
impact on my life... My husband, my church and my family. Oh, and Big Bang Theory. BAZINGA!
life changing moment... My wedding day. In the most literal sense, I can't think of anything else that has changed my every day life more than that.
obsession... Crafts - I daydream of having all the money I could ever want just to spend at Michaels and Roberts. Mountain Dew - yeees. And wrapping paper! I LOVE wrapping paper!!
fear... Having Alex die... I have the worst imagination when it comes to this. I imagine myself in the shower, smelling his body wash after he's gone... living in the house by myself. It's weird. I have to stop myself.

Best.........

accomplishment.... Landing a sexy, sensitive, funny, handsome, intelligent man to be mine forever. And making it out of Havasupai alive.
life advice... Choose to be happy. Choose every day and every moment.
part of my day... Getting home from work to a usually clean house, getting into my p.j.'s and deciding with my hubby how we will spend the night. Usually: make dinner together and watch Big Bang. What will we do when we run out of seasons?! I shutter.
beauty tip... I steal from Lauren: bangs are a great way to hide a huge forehead. And, always curl your eyelashes.
pair of jeans... Whatever I picked up at Kohl's that fits me at the moment. I usually only own 1-2 pairs at a time until I wear them out.

Favorite...

season... Spring! I love everything about it.
movie... Empire Records. ... open til midnight. MIDNIGHT!
vacation... As of now it is our trip to Acapulco, but ask me in March and it will be our cruise to the Mexican Riveria. Ya, baby!
movie star... Rachel McAdams or Matthew McConaughey. Or Will Smith. Or Eva Mendes. Or Joseph Gordon Leavitt. I guess I have a lot.
comfort food... Cliche or not, it's usually chocolate. Or anything that my mom made when I was young. Except that macaroni and cheese with real cheese. I never liked that.
quote... It's long, but it's so good. (and....that's what she said).
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
-Marianne Williamson

....just TRY to tell me that quote doesn't give you chills. I dare you.

Dreams and Wishes...

dream vacation... Hard one. Choices are between a really fancy resort on a gorgeous island or at least 4 weeks traveling Europe. I'd most likely choose Europe.
one wish for life... To get to the end and have no regrets. To just live a happy life. No matter what happens.
one trait you wish you could change... The tingly feeling I get in my butt when I hear about other people getting hurt. ... is that a trait??
talent you wished you possessed... Drawring. Honestly, though, I have the ability to do a lot of things (cook, laugh, spell, organize, sing, dance, teach children, understand languages, love - all of which I consider to be talents) and so I don't feel bad that my stick figures look like they were drawn by a monkey.

Hope you enjoyed! Feel free to copy, paste and edit. I'd love to see your answers.
Merry Christmas!
